How to Master the Cat Eye Makeup Look

A dramatic eye will really ramp up your makeup. A cat-eye is similar to winged liner, but usually with a thicker wing that includes both the top & bottom lash line. As everyone who rocks the look knows, successfully executed cat eyes can feel like a true achievement or accomplishment.   1. Start from the innermost corner of the eye
  2. After drawing short strokes along her top lashes with the liner, connect them into one smooth line
  3. Once the line along the lashes is perfect, now extends it past the outer corner, directing the line diagonally up toward the tail of the brows at a 45-degree angle

#1: With Makeup Brush

  1. Apply natural or light eye shadow from your lash line up to your crease
  2. Angle a brush from your nose to your outer brow to find your endpoint
  3. Use a liner to make a dot just above your crease to make the tip of wing
  4. Draw a line connecting the dot to the outer corner of your eye
  5. Draw a line connecting the dot to the middle of upper lash line
  6. Fill the outline(If necessary)
  7. Draw a line to connect the inner corner of the eye
  8. Clean up the mistake with a cotton cloth

#2: With Tape

  1. Apply natural or light eye shadow from your lash line up to your crease
  2. Take a small piece of tape and tape it on your hand
  3. Position the tape along the outer corner of the eye
  4. Draw a line from the inner corner of your eye to outer corner
  5. Use the tape as a guide to extend the line past the corner of eye
  6. Remove the tape carefully
  7. Give it a final touch-up (if necessary)

#3: With Bobby Pins

  1. Simply apply eyeliner on the open ends of a bobby pin and place it on the outer corner of eyes where you want the wing
  2. It will leave wing imprint that you can fill and align with your upper lash
  3. Now draw an outline which connects the inner and outer line of your eye
  4. Quickly fill it and you are done
